Here is a fun\u00a0record I obtained\u00a0a few years ago as part of a large acquisition. \u00a0For\u00a0whatever reason, I set it aside and did not listen to it until recently. \u00a0Let’s just say that it was a very pleasant discovery.<\/p>\n

A number of different artists made recordings of “Sunday” – but this spiffy\u00a0version\u00a0is by far my favorite\u00a0rendition.<\/p>\n

“The Radiolites” was a recording pseudonym for the in-house Columbia band led by\u00a0Ben Selvin.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0Vocalist\u00a0Charles Kaley<\/a>\u00a0performed on records and in vaudeville where he was billed as “The Singing Bandleader.” \u00a0Later he went to Hollywood where he starred in the 1930 musical film\u00a0Lord Byron of Broadway<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
